Speaker Series Kabbalat Shabbat Service & Dinner

Student Rabbi Dr. Koach Baruch (KB) Frazier will be our scholar-in-residence this weekend for the third of our four-part Community Education Series on Reconstructionist Judaism.

MaTovu and Shir Hadash Reconstructionist Community (SHRC) invite you to participate in Kabbalat Shabbat led by student Rabbi Frazier with Shabbat dinner to follow. KB will speak on “Preparing Spiritually for Passover.”

MaTovu will provide the main course (vegetarian) and drinks, and ask that everyone participating please contribute a side dish or dessert. (Please RSVP HERE so we know have enough dinner for everyone!)

KB was born in Kansas City and lived in St. Louis for 20 years. He received his BA from St. Louis University and a doctorate in audiology from Central Michigan University. He is currently a fourth year student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. He describes himself as an audiologist, musician, co-convener of the Tzedek Lab a dismantler of racism, and a sonic and spiritual leader. In 2020, KB was named a LGBTQ Jewish Hero by Keshet.
