The Band’s Visit. This event is free and open to the public. 

The Band’s Visit is a comedy-drama about eight Egyptian musicians who comprise the Alexandria Ceremonial Police Orchestra. The group travels to Israel to play at the inaugural ceremony of an Arab arts center and mistakenly wind up in a small town in Israel’s Negev Desert. Stranded at a restaurant, the Egyptians find diversion and companionship with the Israelis through a pervading undercurrent of shared melancholy. The PG-13 rated film is in Arabic, Hebrew and English and runs 90 minutes. The Broadway musical version of The Band’s Visit garnered 10 Tony Awards in 2018, including Best Musical.
